Serious mishap worsens water shortage in malaysia

Tank-ful residents: A tanker from Jabatan Air Selangor sending water to a house at Sanggul Residence 2 , Bandar Puteri, Klang
The water cut in Selangor has been extended further after a severe pipe burst at the SSP3 treatment plant seriously injured several staff members, said Syarikat Bekalan Air Sdn Bhd.

"The water cut was initially scheduled for four days starting yesterday. The statement did not mention how much longer it will take for water supply to resume"

Following the incident, the supply restoration has been extended from the original schedule,” it added.
The public, it said, will be informed about the new recovery status soon and that relief water supply via water tankers will continue until supply is restored.
Meanwhile, the first day of scheduled water disruptions in the Klang Valley went by with minimal disruptions, with many households and businesses prepared for eventual dry taps.
